I am a clinical psychologist based in New York City, licensed in both New York and Connecticut. Prior to starting my private practice, I was an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai for four years. I was intensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and served as the Clinical Director of the DBT program for Adolescents at the Mount Sinai Morningside Child and Family Institute. In this role I worked with children, adolescents, young adults, and their families to address issues including suicidal thoughts, non-suicidal self-injurious behaviors, emotional and behavioral dysregulation, eating disordered behaviors, trauma, anxiety, OCD, attention and concentration difficulties, relationship issues, and family conflict. I also taught and supervised psychiatry residents and fellows, psychology interns, fellows, and externs, and social work interns.
Prior to working at Mount Sinai, I completed my APA-accredited postdoctoral fellowship and internship at Northwell Health, where I worked with children, adolescents, and adults across inpatient, outpatient, and day treatment settings. I received training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Family-Based Treatment (FBT), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Parent Management Training (PMT), and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT). I completed my PhD in clinical psychology at St. John's University, with clinical work specializing in the treatment of children and adolescents. My doctoral research focused on the treatment needs of emerging adults and was published in the peer-reviewed journal Emerging Adulthood. I completed my BA at New York University, where I graduated summa cum laude with a major in psychology and minors in sociology and child and adolescent mental health studies.
I have a particular interest in working with adolescents and young adults struggling with emotional and behavioral dysregulation.
